After an 18-month long search across the UK for the perfect location to open up their own restaurant, Edyta Krauze and Fabrice Lavacry took over The Blue Mallard in February 2019. “When we came to Burscough Wharf, we immediately fell in love with it. We knew this was the right place for us.”, says Edyta. Since then, they have put their own signature on the modern British/European menu.
The couple have decades of experience between them. Former Michelin-starred chef and current chef-patron Fabrice started his career in Normandy over thirty years ago. He has worked and transformed restaurants across the world, in locations as diverse as Mexico, the Maldives and the Middle East. In charge of Front of House, former accountant Edyta has worked in five-star London hotels for almost twenty years and previously managed her own bar. The two are enjoying working to their strengths in order to provide top-quality service for all guests.
