Well, Chris our Head Chef is off to China for a couple of weeks and while there, he will be sampling some of the culinary delights they have to offer and bringing back some inspiration.
China has a very diverse cultural heritage and its food is influenced by the many regions you would expect in such a large populous country.
The Eight Culinary Traditions of China are Anhui, Cantonese, Fujian, Hunan, Jiangsu, Shandong, Szechuan, and Zhejiang cuisines. Each of these uses different ingredients, techniques and dishes.
The staple foods of Chinese cooking include rice, noodles, vegetables, and sauces and seasonings.
